January 2004 to Present
After much manipulating of the feet, it was eventually decided that they had to change drastically. Though the client felt strongly about them, it was agreed that they did not portray the professional and strong appearance that we were going for. I was eventually able to recreate the feet in a more conceptual style, instead of representational. It has a feeling of simplicity and sophistication, instead of the cartoony feel of the old graphic.
His color scheme has traditionally been monochrome with red accents, since this color combination appeals strongly to men. It signifies danger and excitement and a little bit of the taboo. Because of this, I wanted to stay in this general realm, but add a few little details.
I went in the direction of a red/orange/yellow set because of the
"hot" feeling they portray. Once the client saw the final design,
he agreed that it was perfect. It was fast, slick, hot, and still
professional, with a feeling of quality work.
